First Quarter Summary

1. How well did you meet your original goals for your project this quarter? Please be ''specific''. What were your original goals? What did you actually accomplish? How do these compare? Why?

Not well, I was absent a lot and I fell behind in my work for a little bit, which is still hindering my progress, due to my decreased morale, and increased potentiality of procrastination. I was planning to get through as much of the book as possible, which meant getting to around chapter 5-6, maybe even 7, I ended up getting to chapter 4. I completed significantly less than I really set out to do, mostly because of the reasons mentioned above; attendance, morale, and attention.

2.Did your project turn out the way you planned?

Well since my project is still ongoing and I have not completed it, as it is in fact a year-long project, I would like to still say no, there is still work to be done on my python, and pages of the book i have not read yet.

3.What unexpected things did you encounter during the quarter?

Sickness, sprained ankles, off-days, and minor distractions all tie into a normal school year, but they sort of killed my productive times.

4.What did you learn this quarter?

I learned that if you read something more than once, then you will most likely pull a lot more out of the second experience than the first, in some cases.

5
.What can you do now that you couldn't do when you started?

I can pay attention to how I work and see when I'm straying off task and put myself back on task.

6.What things did you hope to do that you can't do yet?

Get through the book...

7.Will you continue with this project next quarter?

Definitely, not really a choice.

8.Why or why not?

Because programming isn't just a hobby, it's a lifestyle, so i will program myself into the future.

Happy Halloween Everybody!
